Marc Lange, Secretary General
Short Biography
Marc Lange has been involved in European ICT projects for the public sector (i.e. social security, customs and indirect taxation, legal identity, health) since 1992 and has therefore a long experience in supporting EU Member States in coordinating the deployment of their projects.
During this period, he has managed several international projects and programmes and has in particular worked, as author, co-author, editor or director on a large variety of reports related to the deployment of ICT systems in Europe, including business plans, conceptual and strategic analysis, project specifications, functional pre-standards (CWA), impact analysis and best practices reports on business issues, quality systems and service level agreement, commercial proposals …
Since the end of 2004, Marc has been Secretary General of EHTEL, a member-based international association dedicated to supporting implementation of eHealth solutions in Europe. EHTEL activities bring benefits to all eHealth stakeholders (i.e. ministries of health, European Commission, industries, health professionals and institutions, patient representatives, insurers, academics, NGOs etc).
EHTEL has recently organised several conferences and workshops on key eHealth issues such as Identification Management, Interoperability of infrastructure as well as on some eHealth applications like ePrescribing and Home care.
