New elements this year include:
- A Career/Professionalism Zone: this will provide an opportunity for delegates to look at career paths, and talk to senior staff and other experts about possible opportunities for them. We are especially encouraging students to talk to Universities, eSkills and others about options for starting and pursing a career in health informatics.
- An NHS Zone: where NHS organisations (mainly informatics services) will demonstrate things they are doing to further the cause of health informatics in the UK.
- A Leadership Master Class: Professor Michael West will hold a master-class at the end of the second day, this interactive Master-class will be of relevance to anyone interested in how to create a better work environment both for fulfilling the mission of their organisation but also for ensuring the flourishing, well being and development of staff.
- A National SHA CIOs Forum: most of the national SHA Chief Information Officers will take part in an open forum at the end of the event to discuss and debate key themes from the event and take questions from the audience.
- The Regional Showcase will continue this year, with examples of best practice being demonstrate from the Midlands areas.
