Continua European Symposium 2011
Continua Health Alliance is hosting a two-day Personal Connected Health solutions symposium on 17 and 18 January at the Brussels Marriott in Belgium. This symposium will bring healthcare professionals, researchers, world-class companies, entrepreneurs, policy makers, health ministries and other stakeholders together for an in-depth look at a variety of Personal Connected Health solutions and how these tools and services will fit into Europe’s current and future model of healthcare.

The symposium will be divided into three tracks:
- Chronic Condition Management: Are personal health solutions the right prescription?
- Ageing Independently: Can personal health solutions support active ageing?
- Health & Wellness: Are personal health solutions on your menu?
How will these areas impact the current model of healthcare in Europe?
Attendees and presenters will discuss how the design, adoption and use of personal health solutions will impact chronic condition management, ageing, and health & wellness in Europe. They will explore emerging business models, preventative healthcare, best practices and examples of personal connected health at work and through policy.
SmartPersonalHealth event on 18 January 2011
Symposium attendees may be interested in participating in the SmartPersonalHealth workshop on 18 January 2011 to discuss challenges and opportunities related to the introduction of personal health systems in routine healthcare, and to consider and finalise policy recommendations for the European Commission.
