CALLIOPE Interoperability Event at the European Parliament
Under the headline "Crossing boundaries in eHealth: the CALLIOPE think-tank
and collaborative platform", the CALLIOPE Network will present main outcomes like the “eHealth interoperability Roadmap for Sustainable Health”. Wider European perspective will be given by presentations on the “EC strategy for eHealth (from the cabinet of Neelie Kroes, Commissioner for the Digital Agenda), the eHealth Governance Initiative (Clemens Auer, MoH Austria) and a multi-stakeholder panel.

It is a targeted effort to establish an appropriately governed, composed and structured open forum. It sup-ports Member States to implement interoperable eHealth solutions in close collaboration with the key stakeholders: users, industry, and payers. Interoperability – the major challenge in connecting eHealth Health services are knowledge intensive and technology dependent environments. The rapid growth of knowledge and technology potentially makes healthcare better, more effective and efficient.
