SEeHealth: The Roadmap from Concept to Practice
The seminar, which will host a number of respected speakers, among them representatives of the European Commission (Directorate General for Information Society and Media, ICT for Health Unit); the Minister of Public Administration, Government of Slovenia, Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, representative of Ministry of Health, Government of Slovakia; representative of Danish regions (both countries identified by the European Union as being successful cases of eHealth implementation); representatives of South East European countries (Montenegro, Romania, Serbia), which will present the regional good practice cases and a number of speakers from the private sector who will present the latest cases of ICT solutions in the field of eHealth.
eChallenges 2009
The eChallenges e-2009 Conference takes place in the beautiful city of Istanbul. 3rd Baltic Conference on E-Health
The third Baltic Conference on E-Health will take place on September 16. The primary aim of the conference - featuring the topic "Cross-Border Healthcare" - at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce is to provide a cross-sector forum for healthcare providers from Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
MIE 2009: Medical Informatics in a United and Healthy Europe
MIE 2009 Sarajevo The Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) Conference is the main scientific event in medical, biomedical, and health informatics, held every two years out of three in Europe. Scientific presentations are from more than 40 countries and all continents. Its attendance is around 500–1000 participants especially from 32 European member countries of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI). The MIE 2009 conference will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 30 August until 2 September 2009. Aim and scope The main theme of MIE 2009 is MEDICAL INFORMATICS IN A UNITED AND HEALTHY EUROPE. New medical, biomedical, and health informatics bridges must be built between the western and eastern parts of the European world. For this purpose, a panel of high-level scientists and health care managers will be invited to participate and give keynote speeches, tutorials, and organise in-depth workshop discussions.
Healthgrid 2009
The 7th international HealthGrid conference brings together the fast-growing community of HealthGrid researchers and users and fosters closer interactions among them. The conference sessions address the multidisciplinary educational and professional development needs of the community, including Grid middleware and Grid applications developers, Biomedical and health informatics users, Security specialists and Policy makers. The HealthGrid Association is an initiative that brings together people from a variety of disciplines to promote awareness and use of Grid technologies in the biomedical sector. The HealthGrid community emphasizes a strong relationship among the private sector, government agencies, clinicians, and researchers. These connections foster the integration of Grid practices and tools into the fields of biology, medicine, and health.
HiT 2009 (Health Information Technologies 2009)
Congress for Health Professionals: The European Health Information System Congress is designed to bring together all actors involved in the process: * Decision-makers and management teams, network leaders, public authorities, for whom information is a strategic resource and the information system an investment intended to create added value and develop performance. * Users (doctors, pharmacists, nurses and managers), and engineers (biomedical, hospital organisation, information system security…) for whom information systems represent a major issue in terms of security and quality of care for patients, at ward level, in networks or in outside hospitals.
